The Electrical Engineer/Programmer will be responsible for the design; procurement, installation, debug, and startup of low voltage power systems used in the operation of natural gas facilities and stations. They will work closely with the Director of Valve Automation, client representatives, project managers, drafters, and other engineers to ensure the electrical design elements and programs work with other systems to ensure designs are comprehensive and meet project requirements.

To meet the basic requirements for this role you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with O&G experience.
  • This position requires a minimum of 8 years’ experience with natural gas station projects including electrical/instrumentation engineering and software programming.
  • Experience with Scadapacks and ladder logic based programming is required.
  • Experience with I&C preferred, knowledge of NEC and AGA XL1001, knowledge of SCADA systems including HMI and PLC coding, experience with panel arrangements, wiring diagrams, and detailed engineering drawing design, knowledge of GE Cimplicity is a must and knowledge of Emerson Controlwave program is a must.
  • Thorough knowledge of P&ID’s required.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is highly preferred, or the ability to obtain within 6mos of employment (California and/or Colorado).
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as IEC, ISA, NEC, IEEE, API, and etc.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment..
